Keeping Rare Company

Loka is among five industry leaders to appear on the AWS Generative AI Partner Panel.

Keeping Rare Company

For the last 20 years, Loka has been the dark horse tech consultancy quietly achieving in the shadow of industry giants. We appreciate our unique market position and prefer to let our accomplishments speak for themselves. But recently we were afforded an honor grand enough to require pause and reflection: In early March, Loka was one of 32 companies out of thousands worldwide to attain the brand-new AWS Generative AI Competency. This designation singles out our inaugural class of AWS Partners as companies that “demonstrate technical proficiency and proven success in supporting customers with generative AI solutions.”

It’s a major triumph for us, one earned by the hard work of multiple teams across our business. And there was more in store.

A week after the competency was announced, Loka VP of Product Emily Kruger appeared on the AWS Generative AI Partner Panel alongside leaders from Anthropic, Deloitte and Stability AI. All told, only five companies were given the spotlight on the AWS stage, including several household names (assuming you live in a household of nerds, like us), and as Emily explained, Loka was singular among them. Among the companies on stage, Loka is the only one focused specifically on boosting startups, SMBs and all of those who share our entrepreneurial spirit.

“Over the nine months that Loka has had offerings in AWS Marketplace associated with GenAI, we’ve had more than 500 conversations and more than 100 customers that we’ve helped to bring either POCs or implementations to market,” she said. “That's part of the innovation we’re seeing and the hunger in the startup segment. These use cases started out as ideation, and over time they're evolving into more mature options.”

In other words, when it comes to applying GenAI to a vast span of business types—from barber shops to cancer research labs—Loka speaks from experience.
